The final countdown...
Oct. 11th, 2008 09:49 pmOne week to go until the wedding. This time next week I'll be strutting my funky stuff on the dancefloor at the reception with my best friends. Yay!
I tried my outfit on today. Strapless bras are truly awful things. Even though I bought a size smaller than normal the darned thing still keeps slipping down. I get the feeling I'll be spending a portion of next Saturday in the loo adjusting my top half. On the plus side, the dress looks fab. I'm still nowhere near a size 8 on my bottom half but with 'suck it all in' pants I think I'll get away with it. After all my angst over getting pink cardigan I've decided that I'm going to wear an off white cardie I had all along. I wore it to a wedding 5 years ago but I doubt anyone will notice. I've also decided that I'm going to leave my hair down after all. My top half will look a bit bare if I tie my hair back. I'm relying on all my readers to pray that it's not too windy next Saturday, otherwise I may end up looking like Cousin It during the photos! Shoes are now the only thing causing me stress. They're meant to be delivered 7-10 working days from when I put my order in. They include Saturdays as a working day so it is now 6 days since I ordered. This means that they should turn up by Thursday at the latest. Fingers crossed everyone. I'm also going to try and book a manicure (my first one ever!) at work next week. The only things I still need to buy are jewellry and and a bag. I'm going to go into Kingston or Wimbledon tomorrow and sort them out.
Before going shopping tomorrow I'm going to be cheering on the runners in The Royal Parks Half Marathon. My friend is co-ordinating the involvement of her charity Asthma UK in the event. Her fiance and his friend are running dressed as Asthma Man. There's loads of other stuff going on in Hyde Park such as food and well-being show so it should be a good day. Also, we get pom-poms! The only bad thing is that I have to be there for 10am. Good job I had a lie in this morning.
Today has been moderately productive. I went out for a run, put all my recycling in the relevant bins, bought a new hoover (it's called Hetty and she's pink!) and did some cleaning.
I managed to miss Strictly as I got the time wrong. Hopefully it'll be on BBC watch again shortly so I can catch up.
