I can't think of a creative title for todays post so 'update' will have to do I'm afraid.

The crazy windiness (is that a word?) seems to have passed now thank goodness. I got through it unscathed although it took a while to sort out my hair when I got into work this morning. One of my work colleagues had a terrifying near death experience when a road sign blew through the back doors of the bus he was on. Thankfully he leaves for work very early and the bus was almost empty so noone was hurt. Quite a few people weren't looking forward to their journey home as a tree on the line had resulted in all the mainline trains to Waterloo being cancelled. I was hoping to take a really good photo of 'wind chaos' for project 365 but I couldn't find anything damaged looking enough to take. Unfortunately, the wind seems to have got to the communal TV ariel for my block of flats as reception is very fuzzy this evening. Channel 4 has disappeared completely :(

The Council Tax people told me to ignore the bill and are sending me another one with the single persons discount applied. They're also giving me time to pay in installments. The flat is still in the wrong band but I have to complain to the Valuation Office about that rather than the Council. At least I don't have to fork out £600 in one hit though.

Two of my uni housemates have called to say that they're coming to my party. Yay! They are so lovely and I haven't seen them since last June. I'm so flattered that one of them is making the effort to travel all the way from Cardiff for the day.

Got some food for the party this evening but Hounslow M&S really wasn't big enough for my requirements. They didn't have any mini Indian snacks and I forgot to buy anything to actually dip in the dips! Looks like I'll be off to Tesco or Asda tomorrow despite my best made plans.

Attempted to 'listen again' to the first episode in the new series of 'Trevor's World of Sport' earlier but it wasn't there. That show about the fake radio phone in was there instead. Tut. Am considering writing a complaint to the BBC. I need my 'ex member of cast of Press Gang' fix for the evening. Jake Wood in Eastenders just doesn't cut it for me. He was only a PG guest star. Paul Reynolds was main cast!
