I've been advised by the John Lewis software helpline that the reason Norton wouldn't work was that AOL uses McAfee and the two interfere with one another. I'm afraid this didn't ring true for me as I had AOL and Norton on my old PC for years and I never experienced these sorts of problems. Now I've turned Norton off and I must admit things have been better. Still very slow but much more reliable. I just hope AOL's anti-virus software is protecting my PC adequately.

We still can't make or receive any external calls at work. BT are saying the problem won't be sorted until next week some time. It's very annoying. We all keep picking up the phone, dialling and then remembering the problem. I hope BT give us a huge refund for the business we've lost.
