The new PC is up and running. It was dead easy to set up and I'm now typing away quite happily. There are pros and cons. The pros are that it's faster and I've now got a cordless mouse and keyboard. The cons are that I'm going to have to buy a better graphics card and that I'll have to pay for an upgrade to WinDVD to be able to screencap :( I plan to run the old PC beside it so I can still play Region One DVDs and screencap at will. Internet is still very slow but that won't change until I sort out broadband.
Only one episode of 'Shipwrecked 2006 - The Rivals' left. I'm not normally a reality TV fan and I haven't watched previous series' of 'Shipwrecked' but this time around I've been hooked. I read that it's been getting much higher ratings than 'The OC' which doesn't suprise me as 'The OC' is really boring these days.
As promised, I thoroughly cleaned my bedroom today. Whilst cleaning I came across a box containing all my old theatre programmes. I've been going to the theatre fairly regularly for the last ten years and it's interesting to look through the programmes and spot actors who are now major stars playing supporting roles. I discovered that I saw David Tennant, Stephen Mangan and Kacey Ainsworth at Richmond Theatre before they were famous. I've also seen a play at the trendy, experimental Gate theatre in London which was directed by Dexter Fletcher's wife. I saw it whilst studying A Level Theatre Studies and it was different to say the least. I usually only go to local theatres (Richmond, The Orange Tree, The Mary Wallace, Hampton Hill Playhouse, The Beck and Woking) as I go with my parents and they won't travel into London. I'd really like to see more London plays but I don't think it'll happen until I complete my uni course.
'Suburban Shoot Out' was very good but I can't think that it'll get much of an audience at 11pm on a Thursday night on Five. A very original and interesting idea, I hope it carries on as strongly as it started.
Think I'd better try and get some uni work done tomorrow.
