Getting Fit...
Feb. 15th, 2004 05:02 pmUp until last week I hadn't done any exercise since my second year at uni. Exercise has always been a bit of a problem for me for a number of reasons. Firstly, I have no natural aptitude for it. My co ordination is terrible, I can either do leg movements or arm movements not both at the same time! Secondly, I have a bad back as a result of a childhood trampolining injury and straining it makes me miserable. Thirdly, I'm lazy. I've always gone in for hobbies like reading and sewing.
This is all coming to an end though. I'm doing stretches every evening and I've purchased a workout DVD which I've done twice so far. At some point I'm going to join a gym in Wimbledon too.
I ache all over, especially my legs. I guess that's a good thing though as it means I'm doing something to my muscles.
No Valentines cards for another year. I haven't had one since 1996 :( I have no idea whether the man of the moment is in the country or not. He hasn't replied to an email I sent him from work last week but there was no out of office message so I'm assuming that he's ignoring me. Oh well. I guess I asked for this kind of treatment really.
