The one in which i-just-hide is a little bit stressed...

Woe is me!  The rechargeable battery inside my smoke alarm needs replacing and the stupid thing is going to bleep once every 40 seconds until that happens.  The fire protection system is all on the mains and is the responsibility of the block management company to sort out.  Goodness knows how long it will take to arrange an appointment for them to come out.  I didn't sleep well the last two nights because of the heat and it looks like I've got more sleepless nights ahead.  Not happy.
