I have a new phone! It's a shiny new HTC Desire S and is a thing of beauty. I have absolutely no idea how to work it. So far, my sole achievement has been to connect it up to Facebook which means my contacts list is full of the phone numbers of people I haven't spoken to since 1997. Oh well, baby steps. I get the feeling my weekend will be largely spent trying to figure it all out.
I've also started an anti-candida diet in an attempt to sort out my IBS. I tried this once before several years ago and it didn't help but I think it's worth another go. This time I'm taking Caprylic Acid. So far I've gone a bit hyper, probably as a result of sugar withdrawl and have chronic restless leg syndrome. The 1.5 hour conference call I'm due to take part in tomorrow morning will certainly be interesting.
Tomorrow I'm off to a gig in Kingston. It's about 10 years since I've been to a gig in a pub. I'm really looking forward to it even though I obviously can't drink because of the diet.
Finally, a really random thought. If I was a beauty therapist or hairdresser I'd be really annoyed that in soaps people seem to just be able to turn up and do those jobs without any significant training. I used to work in a college and people train full time for a good couple of years before they can get a proper job. Syed in Eastenders used to be a caterer and is now magically a massage therapist!
