30 Days of TV meme - Day 15

Yep, I'm still trying to do this.  At least I'm now safe in the knowledge that the time I spend writing this entry will be spent more constructively than the 80 minutes I spent watching England play Algeria this evening.  It was so awful that I gave up 10 minutes before the end.

Day 15 - Favorite female character
It has to be Anna Forbes from 'This Life'.  Beautiful, intelligent and witty but massively flawed, Anna is the character I found myself rooting for.  Despite being both brilliant and ruthless in her professional life Anna makes all the wrong choices and is all the more likeable for it.  Whereas her best friend Milly attempts to throw away a loving relationship with a man who adores her in favour of an affair with her creepy boss, Anna has managed to fall in love with toxic Miles, a man seemingly incapable of doing the right thing.  Even so, Anna is the ever supportive voice of reason for her housemates and always stands by her friends.  When she finally makes the heartbreaking decision not to ask Miles to call off his wedding it is such an emotional moment.  The audience is totally with her.  OK, so they totally ruined her character in This Life +10 but at least we have 30 odd episodes of classic Anna to enjoy.
