My boss and our head of department are due to fly out to Corfu tomorrow to attend ( this. )

  It's alright for some etc. etc.  Unfortunately they are due to fly with Olympic Airlines which went out of business this morning.  My boss received an email saying that his flight out tomorrow is fine but his flight back on Sunday is not.  He held on the phone for ages while they sorted out an alternative.  By the time he left work this evening they still hadn't sent him confirmation of the new flight.  It had been reported by this time that the airline had been bought out by someone and would now be known as Olympic Air.  Head of department decided not to bother pursuing her mission to get a vegeterian meal on the flight out.  What terrible luck that that this should happen the day before they had to leave the country on business on flights they didn't book themselves.  Let's hope they don't get stranded in Greece.  Occasionally, I'm glad that the most exciting place I've been sent for work is Watford!
