Should I be worried?
Jul. 17th, 2009 11:08 pmOne evening last week I arrived home and found this card in my post box.

I have to say that I'm not all that worried about black magic, bad luck or witch craft having been cast on me by my enemies. As far as I'm aware, I don't have any enemies. Sure, there are people who probably don't like me very much but I wouldn't go as far as to describe them as enemies. In fact the most worrying thing about this card is that it exists in the first place. Let's face it, I could print out a load of cards identical to this (obviously replacing his name and numbers with mine) and offer the same service. I do note, however, that he states 'quick positive results Guaranteed' and that the word Guaranteed has been adorned with a grammatically incorrect capital letter. In that case it obviously must be true!
In other news, my BIL has introduced me to Spotify. Yay! I'm loving it so far. A chance to indulge my truly random taste in music and to invent a playlist including all those tracks I consider too uncool to put on my mp3 player.
So far I have:
Song 2 - Blur
Straight from the Heart - Doollally (actually Shanks and Bigfoot recording under an alias)
Parklife - Blur
New York - Sex Pistols
No Fun - Sex Pistols
Venus - Bananarama
In for the Kill - La Roux
Swamp Thing - The Grid
Ghost Town - The Specials
Too Much Too Young - The Specials
Cool for Cats - Squeeze
Sympathy for the Devil - Rolling Stones
From Yesterday - 30 Seconds to Mars
Holly - Republic (favourite song ever - couldn't leave it off)
Propane Nightmares - Pendulum
Little Fluffy Clouds - The Orb
Black and Gold - Sam Sparro
Don't You (Forget About Me) - Simple Minds
Don't Stop Moving - SClub7
System Addict - Five Star
Connection - Elastica
Kinky Afro - Happy Mondays
How many people can say that they've got the Ramones and Bananarama on their playlist? I really hope no real punks ever find out. I'm sure they'd be horrified.
I'm also pleased to report that my taste is obscure enough to include stuff currently not on Spotify. I couldn't find 'I Can't Help Myself' by Lucid or 'King of Snakes' by Underworld. I rock (or not as the case may be!)
