I was due to attend a hen weekend in Bristol later this month. This evening I discovered that the company through which said weekend was booked has 'ceased trading'. Oh dear. Fortunately, I paid by credit card so there is a small chance I could get some of my £70 back. Unfortunately, it doesn't help the bride whose special weekend has been ruined and who is now really worried about the fact people have lost money (including her). I'd imagine the head bridesmaid who organised it all is a bit pissed off as well. I haven't spoken to her yet as I thought I might inadvertantly make her feel worse. We're still going to try and do something that weekend. It'll just have to be scaled down a bit which is a shame as I was looking forward to the zoo, dinner, club, post place to stay, Bath spa plan. I'm sure we'll still be able to make it special though. Several of us used to do Rag. We're experienced at making something out of nothing!

In slightly better news I finally won an ebay auction. I won a used copy of My Sims on DS for £10.51 including postage and packing. A bargain as it would be £24.99 to buy brand new in the shops. Go me!

Watched the second episode of 'Mutual Friends' this evening. I really wish Lee Ross could find himself a role in which he smiles occasionally. He was on screen for 5 minutes maximum in tonights episode and he scowled throughout. I've decided that the show itself isn't that great. I think it's trying to Cold Feet and I didn't like that much either. I like my comedy drama's more off the wall like 'At Home with the Braithwaites'. A major problem is that I can't take Alexander Armstrong seriously. I keep thinking he's either going to come out with a punchline or offer around some Pimms every 10 minutes. Keeley Hawes' character is incredibly annoying. The only characters I vaguely like are Marc Warren's character and his on-screen son.

I am now officially on a diet. 8.5 stones here I come!
