The upper back pain has returned and this time it's worse. I think I'm going to have to face the fear and book an appointment with my dad's osteopath. I was going to go and see her before but my dad managed to put me off by telling me that I wouldn't like the 'clicking'. It's no good though, I can't keep walking around like Quasimodo. Especially not at work.

The pain is less bad when I'm moving around so I've tried to stay active today. I started by going down to the bin store to do my recycling. We recently had our recycling facilities re-assessed and now have bigger bins and an additional bin for cardboard. Unfortunately, they've now mangaged to put a massive bin in front of the motion sensor for the lights. In my efforts to put my cardboard in the bins I had to run to the door, put my down the side of the bin to touch the sensor and run back to my recycling about ten times. At least it's keeping me fit. After that I went and put some money on my Oyster Card and then went in to Hounslow to buy a thermos bag. I'd planned to walk into Hounslow but it was raining hard so I took the bus. Stupid rain. What is it that makes the British weather decide to be lovely all week and then rain all weekend?! Once in Hounslow I went to cheap and (not in the least bit) cheerful factory store 'Wheelhouse' and bought a Thermos bag and a wire cooling rack. The Thermos bag was a total bargain at £3.99. I needed it so I have somewhere to put my frozen food when I defrost the freezer. Guess what I'll be doing tomorrow? I recently left the freezer door ajar over night and as a result can hardly open the drawers. In my efforts to buy said Thermos bag I managed to embarass myself completely. As I took my reusable bag out of my handbag a tampon flew out of my handbag and hit the poor checkout girl. I don't know who was more embarassed me or her. To her credit she handed it back to me calmly and professionally.

I then went to Costa and treated myself to a hot chocolate and a panini which I ate whilst reading Empire.

My other purchase of the day was a set of over door hooks to put in my store cupboard. Unfortunately, they didn't fit over the fire doors in my flat. I wasn't deterred though. I got my 'Chick's Tool Kit' out and used the pliers to bend them so they did fit. Just call me successful, independent female!

I forgot to go to the opticians to continue moaning about my contact lens direct debit but that can wait.

I've just found out that Moving Wallpaper has been re-commissioned for a second series but Echo Beach has not. Interesting. Echo Beach is rubbish but I'm not sure that Moving Wallpaper will really work without it. We shall see.

The Welsh rugby team won the Triple Crown today so Cardiff Bloke will be happy. England seem to be going completely down the toilet. They lost to Scotland today. I thought Scotland were meant to be terrible at the moment.

Oh my goodness, it has just started pouring with rain. Loads of people walking past my flat on the way home from the pub are screaming and running for cover. Glad I'm not out tonight.
