Fairly productive day...

I made a chocolate fudge cake. It seems to have worked quite well but I'll only be able to provide a proper verdict after my family have eaten it tomorrow. I really must invest in a wire cooling rack though. Cooling cakes on plates tends to result in me having to remove the cake with a fish slice, losing much of the top layer in the process. The only problem with making cakes is that it creates so much washing up. I've already washed up three times today and my dinner things are still waiting to be done. They'll have to wait until tomorrow. I'm all washed up out for today.

I wish I hadn't looked at my work emails this evening. They bought to my attention something I'd forgotten to tell people I'd half sorted out before going on leave. Looks like it's caused some people some extra work. Oh well, nothing I can do anything about it now.
