Circumstances dictate that I must execute extreme self control when it comes to spending money this month. The amount I've just spent on new glasses means that I have no money left to spend on 'luxuaries'. This means that this month I am only allowed to spend money on the following:
Mortgage
Rent & Service Charge
'Essential' food
Travel to and from work
'Essential' household stuff (washing powder and the like)
'Essential' cosmetics (cleanser, shampoo, moisturiser etc.)
Council Tax, Electricity, Phone and Broadband bills
TV Licence
I am not allowed to buy and of the the following:
Clothes
Shoes
Handbags
Jewellry
Hair accessories
'Non essential' food (i.e. sweets, crisps, lunch at Costa etc)
'Non essential' cosmetics (i.e. makeup)
DVDs
CDs
Magazines
Books
Video games
I'm terrible at the whole self control thing. Let's see how I get on.
In other news, I went to the garden centre with mum and dad yesterday and the bought me three hyacinth bulbs and three narcissus bulb. I wanted daffodils but they didn't have any. They are already growing but not flowering. Today I planted them in the pot which the pertunias were in last summer. I really hope they grow as they will brighten up the balcony and keep my minature box tree company. Mum assures me that they won't need much looking after and the best idea would be not to water them. They sound like my sort of plants! We shall see.
Additionally, someone has pinched my new Yellow Pages. I popped out at half past three and put some rubbish outside the front door. A copy of the YP had been propped up against the wall beside the door. I was covered in earth from the planting so I decided to get myself cleaned up and pop out later to get the YP. By the time I left for dinner at my parents' at 6pm it was gone! Copies were propped up outside many of the other flats, so why was mine targeted? Very odd.
I wish the wind would drop at bit. I'm sick of arriving everywhere with earache and looking like I've been dragged through a hedge backwards.
