Jan. 10th, 2008

I have a new toy. A lovely new all in one printer/scanner/copier. I've never had a scanner before so I'm planning on going crazy tomorrow night and copying all my old photos on to Facebook/Flikr. Some of the people who were in my class at primary school and haven't seen for 15 years are really going regret friending me on Facebook :)

Unfortunately, my dad managed to whack his left hand wing mirror on a skip as we drove over to Kingston. It is now lacking an actual mirror which may cause a few problems when the car goes in for its MOT next week. Ooops.

On the plus side we've finally settled on a suitable date for my birthday celebration. Monday 21st January. Monday is clearly the worst night of the week to go out as everyone is still on a downer after their first day back at work however it is the only night everyone can make. Looks like another year of quiet birthday celebrations for me.

I enjoyed Moving Wallpaper this evening. Echo Beach was clearly dreadful, although at this stage I'm not sure how much of the dreadfulness is deliberate. The Cornish accents demonstrated by the actors who will always be known to me as Mrs McKlusky and Mike Baldwin were an insult to the people of Cornwall. Don't even get me started on the terribe acting of some of the younger cast members and the fact that the girl playing Jason Donovan's daughter clearly has an eating disorder. I enjoyed spotting the links between the two shows. I especially liked the fact that one of the writer mentioned that producer had spent the design budget on his office so the surf cafe was going to have to be derelict, then in Echo Beach it really was derelict. A further complaint is that Marcus Patrick was only in one scene. Anyway, I'll be watching next week.
