Ghost town...
Nov. 29th, 2007 09:29 pmWhere is everyone? I have 20 odd contacts on msn and normally 3 or 4 of them are online at any one time. Tonight there is no one and I am bored. Tut.
I don't normally talk about work in this LJ as frankly I like my job and I'd rather not get the sack. However, I'm sure the person involved won't mind me telling this story. On Tuesday my manager and I were delivering recruitment and selection training to two new managers. My manager explained that all posts had to be approved by the Staffing Executive Group before they could be advertised. The trainees didn't know about the Staffing Executive so my manager explained that it consisted of the Principal, the Assistant Principals, the Director of Finance, two Personnel representative and a 'rotating Programme Manager'. How I struggled to stiffle my sniggers! All I could imagine was one particular Programme Manager sitting around the big table at a Staffing Executive meeting spinning around on a rotating office chair. I love being a big kid sometimes.
In other news, I have an eye infection. I'm trying to treat the symptoms with allergy eyedrops in the hope that it will go away on its own. Every morning this week I've woken up looking like a flippin red eyed drug addict. Very attractive.
