Aug. 25th, 2006

Earlier this evening I did the unthinkable. I ignored a negative TV review in 'Heat' and watched the beginning of 'The War at Home' on Channel 4. What a dreadful programme! Stereotypical American dad convinced, for no good reason, that his son is gay and shocked when his daughter bought an African American 'study buddy' home. I really hope it was meant to be ironic but I don't hold out much hope. The dad's attitude reminded me of that of Homer Simpson so maybe it was a case of the lesser spotted non-animated American iron. Of course I may be judging it unfairly as I gave up before the first commercial break and watched an episode of Friends I'd seen a million times before on E4. A show has to be pretty bad for me to not watch it to the end.

In other news, I have a mouth ulcer on my upper lip and it really hurts. Please feel sorry for me :(
