All by myself
Aug. 20th, 2006 11:35 pmMy parents have gone on holiday to Harrogate for a fortnight so I'm fending for myself. This will be good practice for if/when I move into my flat. Doesn't stop me being lonely though. I'll have to phone all my friends and bribe them into keeping me amused. Either that or I could actually get started on my management report...
Mum and Dad only left this morning and already I've answered a confused phone call from someone who had no idea who I was. Normally it's someone Dad knows from badminton but this time it was my Dad's cousin Frank. I had no idea who he was (my Dad has approximately 25 cousins) and he obviously had no idea who I was either. He went on to say that he was very sorry to hear that Uncle Fred (my grandad) had died and was suprised he hadn't been informed or invited to the funeral. Ah! I didn't know what to say to that really so I went into work mode and said something along the lines of "Thank you for calling, I'll pass the message on". Phoned my mum and she told me that they hadn't invited him as they thought he'd be too ill to come. Oh well, my dad can deal with that when he returns.
I finished 'The Simpson's - Hit and Run'. All I've got to do is finish the mini race missions now. It was very good fun and I'd recommend it to anyone who likes story led, mission gaming. I don't like the violence in games like GTA but I do like the missions so this made a nice change. Now I need a new game to play. Spyro Heros looked tempting in Asda today but it's £15 and I need to save money.
