My mother has a better social life than me...

My 59 year old mother has gone to a disco on a riverboat to celebrate the end of the school term. The cab isn't collecting her and her fellow teaching assistants until 12.30am! She'll be absolutely knackered tomorrow as she's normally in bed by 11pm. Mum doesn't often enjoy work parties as the teachers are all under 30 and drink to excess. I hope she enjoys herself though.

The flat is going full speed ahead. I'm going to the building society tomorrow morning to formally apply for my mortgage and I have a target date of 30th August for exchange of contracts. Not the best date for me as it's smack, bang in the middle of enrolment at work, but hey, that's how the cookie crumbles some times.

In general, this week has just been very, very hot. Now they're saying the weather won't clear until next Wednesday. The heatwave is seriously impacting on my productivity at work. I'm making so many minor mistakes.

At some point this weekend I must remember to watch 'Photo Finish' the second episode of Press Gang. It's one of my least favourite episodes so I need to think of some intelligant criticisms to make.

Right, must go and write a letter to my solicitor. My life is so exciting right now!
