The London Eye was fun despite it being an overcast and windy day. I took ten photos some of which I may post on here some time in the future. Taking photos through the curved glass of the capsules created some intereting effects. Big Ben looks like it's twisted in the middle in one.

I've also made three new userpics. I got really frustrated last night as the version of Microsoft Photo Editor on the new PC is quite different to the version on my old PC so I had to figure out a new way of resizing screen caps. I think I finally sorted it out around 2.30am this morning! I then made the 'Maid Marian' icon using the LiveJournal userpic maker which made life much easier. Obviously, you can't add any fancy stuff but it was really easy to resize and select the section of the jpeg I wanted. At present I'm concentrating on creating userpics which are suitable to use on an unhappy or angry post or comment as my old ones all seemed inappropriate to use when someone was upset.

Additionally, in my search for screen caps I watched quite a large proportion of series 3 of The Tribe which I recently purchased on DVD. I'd always considered series 3 to be the worst series but I've now changed my opinion a bit. I now think the beginning and the end of the series are OK, it's just the middle bit which is dodgy. Unfortunately, losing momentum in the middle of a series seemed to be a bit of a trend in The Tribe. Twenty six hour long episodes a series would probably stretch any show I guess. Anyway, I watched some lovely acting last night particularly between Amber and Bray (the scene in the old college during the storm is very well done) and Tai San and Lex. A great shame that Jack was missing for most of the series though.
