I'm now the proud owner of a Creative Zen Sleek Photo. At the moment I'm ripping CDs to it and I can't believe how quick and easy it is. The flippin thing will probably have conked out by tomorrow! Anyway, it's all good at them moment. Some of the genres the automatic software assigns to the CDs are a bit suspect in my opinion. EZ Rollers are proclaimed to be 'Garage' when they're actually drum and bass. The Arctic Monkeys are 'Brit Pop' whilst Hard Fi are 'Indie'. I get the feeling the software originated on the other side of the Atlantic. At least I've found my Hard Fi CD though, I've been looking for it for ages and it was in the box for another CD about half a metre from my hand. Duh! I'm so hopeless at looking for things.

My sister's coming home tomorrow night. I think she just wants to talk to mum about kid stuff (she works in a nursery) so I'll probably steer clear. The bad thing about her coming home is that I have to sort out the room I'm currently sitting in as she has to sleep up here. As I've been writing assignments up here recently I've completely taken the place over. I don't know what I'm going to do with all the stuff as there's no space in my room. This has kind of become my overflow bedroom. I'll just have to shove it all under the bed! The sooner I get this redecoration idea into gear the better.

I'm doing an Artful Dodger CD now and the software has decided it's 'General House'. Hang on a minute, weren't Artful Dodger the two step garage act? Oh no, I've just realised that CD has 80 odd blank tracks on it and it's too late to edit the burn. Now I'll have to figure out how to take things off! I don't think I'm ready for that much technical stuff yet.

Poor old Grace in Big Brother. OK, she's a back stabber but everyone's going a bit OTT about her. A house on my route to work has a huge sign covering its upstairs window saying 'Get Grace Out'. In six years of Big Brother I've never seen something like that in my local area. Its normally the sort of thing I'd expect to see in a student area not in a suburb full of townies!

Oooh, Baby D is apparently 'Hardcore Rap'. Not too sure about that, there's hardly any rapping in it :s

I was wrong again. I thought Lee Ross would be making his 'Eastenders' debut on Friday but it was actually tonight. At present I'm suffering from a severe case of 'character choice angst', basically, I don't want Lee to be playing a nasty, wife mis-treating, alcoholic. I want him to be playing Kenny, the nicest man in history. Sadly, I'm 15 years out of date.

MJ Cole is 'Garage' thank goodness for that!

I've just realised that ripping my CDs in random order is probably not a great idea. I'm probably going to forget which ones I've done and which ones I haven't. Oh well. I reckon I've got about 200 CDs although 15 or so are Prodigy singles which I probably wont bother with. At the rate I'm going I'll have them all on the Zen by Saturday. It makes my much coveted collection seem really tiny. My friend from my old work has 2000 CDs and it took him weeks to transfer them all to his i pod. Why can't I be that cool?

Along with my Zen I also bought a 'My Chemical Romance' CD, a DVD of 'The Breakfast Club' and two PS2 games which were 'buy one get one free'. That's the quickest £300 I've spent in a while.

I wonder who assigned the genres to the albums on 'gracenote'. They've described all the tracks on the soundtrack to 'Go!' as 'General Soundtrack' which seems a bit odd.

So, England won the football. At least the office will be a relatively happy place tomorrow morning. For the second game I went shopping instead of watching. My dad is quite ashamed of me for my lack of interest. Even Cardiff bloke (aka rugby man) has texted me to say the world cup is the best time ever and he remembers every one since 1982. I remember every Olympics since 1988 but the World Cups all roll into one I'm afraid.

Oh well, better go to bed. Keep smiling everyone.
