The plan was to pop into uni to quickly hand in my assignment, then catch the 65 to Kingston to do some shopping for the weekend. As my home PC is still not letting me access hotmail I thought I might as well pop into a computer room and check my email whilst I was here. Nestled in amongst an unusually large number of posts from the Press Gang Mailing List I discovered an email from my friend telling me that she got engaged on Valentines Day, in a forest in Latvia. I'm so happy I'm now sitting here sobbing away. Fortunately, the computer room is almost empty (do full time students at Thames Valley University ever do any work? I ask myself) so no one's looking at me oddly. I was just saying to someone at work the other day that I thought it was about time I had another wedding to go to and now I have :) Maybe, I sent a telepathic message to her boyfriend willing him to propose!
In other Valentines related news I didn't get any cards. What a suprise! It's now been ten years since my last one so I wasn't expecting anything. I did get a text from Cardiff bloke but I sent him one first so I'm not counting it as a proper valentine!
I'm so glad that I've handed in my assignment as it means that I've completed stage one of the course. Now I've got a nervous 28 day wait for the results. I'm fairly sure that this assignment isn't as good as the last one but I really couldn't get make a strong arguement around the question. In my opinion it's too descriptive and not evaluative enough. Time will tell I suppose.
Throughout the process of writing the assignment I managed to watch five episodes of 'Press Gang' - 'The Last Word - Part 2', 'Money, Love and Birdseed', 'Food, Love and Insecurity', 'Windfall' and 'There are Crocodiles' in case anyone's interested - and make four Prodigy icons which I will hopefully be able to upload later on this evening. So even if I fail it wasn't complete waste of time writing the darned thing!
Hopefully, I'll update again later this evening but it depends. If not, I'm off to Wales with Cardiff Bloke this weekend. I don't normally cope well with the countryside and not being in my own bed so wish me luck!
