It's 84 degrees here according to the thermometer in the dining room. I don't have any vaguely summery clothes which are suitable for work so I'll be very warm in the office tomorrow.

I've been shopping today. This was possibly not a very sensible thing to do as it involved a 45 minute bus ride and bus rides in the heat make me feel very queasy. My aim in going out was to enquire about getting my poorly digital camera fixed. I was given my digital camera for my last birthday by my parents and my uncle. Unfortunately, when I went to Oxford for a friend's birthday in May I was sick on my handbag. My friend decided that a good way of cleaning it would be to run it under the tap. Sadly, she didn't think to remove the contents first! Fortunately, my camera was the only serious casualty. A few pixels on the screen of my phone have died, but I was going to buy a new one soon anyhow and there were some very soggy £10 notes in there but it was all OK. Back to today. The guy at the shop said that the problems would only get worse as the electrical components had been water damaged so I had to buy a replacement in the hope that my parents won't notice how badly I cared for my expensive pressie. I bought a leather case this time in case of future drunken accidents! I am now £230 worse off than I should be this month :( I see this as karma for also throwing up on my friend's sofa on the same night so I can't complain too much.

I also purchased the following much needed items:

* Thin white zip up hooded top, for wearing on summer nights now that my lovely jacket is ruined.
* Dressing gown for wearing next winter. It's white with polka dots in various shades of bright pink and was only £25 in BHS. It's such an uncool shop (my mum buys all her clothes there so it must be!) but their sleep wear is gorgeous and cheap.
* Birkenstock style sandals from Next. They're white with a silver buckle and are decorated with crystals. They were only £16 and hopefully won't cripple my feet as much as the flip flops I wore yesterday.
* Sunglasses from TopShop. My DKNY ones are looking very dated now so I'm getting back in fashion.

I also bought a PS2 memory card and two games from HMV. These weren't necessary, especially as I haven't even touched Spiderman yet, but a girl needs some treats.

I can't afford to shop again until after pay day which fortunately is on Friday :) After that I need to buy birthday pressies for mum and also for a friend as their birthday's are on 2nd and 3rd July respectively. I want to buy some outdoor games for my friend, but I looked in Woolies today and they looked really cheap and tacky. Hopefully, I'll be able to find some nice ones in the garden centre or a department store before 2nd July.

Why can't I break in flip flops? It doesn't matter how many times I wear the flaming things, they still give me blisters between my toes. It's annoying. None of my friends seem to have the same problems.
