So, I'm still playing 'Bustin' Out'. Things aren't going badly but progressing from level 4 to level 5 is taking a long time. Several disasters have taken place recently. A burglar pinched all my Andy Warhol prints (oops should have invested in that burglar alarm), the cooker caught fire (oops should have invested in that smoke alarm) and two of the residents got stuck in a toilet cubicle and missed the bus to work! I'm still enjoying it but I think I'll be bankrupt by the end of the level.

Last night I went out for dinner in Clapham with four friends from uni. We ended up in Pizza Express again, but at least it was a different branch this time! One of the girls is in the process of buying a three bedroom flat with her boyfriend. Although I'm happy for them, I find it difficult not to feel jealous of people whose parents can afford to give them large sums of money to buy properties. At the rate I'm going I'll be 50 by the time I can afford a place of my own.

I also found out last night that one of the other girls met her boyfriend, who she's moving in with in a couple of weeks time, at a Valentines single night. Maybe I should try that next year. It wouldn't be much good though, I'd be too shy to speak to anyone even if I was sure they were single.

I've started reading 'Night Watch' by Terry Pratchett. Many Discworld fans consider this to be Terry's finest work and I'm enjoying it so far. I tend to prefer the more character driven novels rather than the slightly abstract conceptual ones. 'Night Watch' seems to be in between the two. I also like character cross overs so having encountered Mustrum Ridicully, The Watch and Lu Tze already I'm happy on that count.
