(no subject)

I'm not happy. I have a verruca. I haven't had one since I was at primary school. Now I'm going to have to mess about applying treatment stuff for around 12 weeks according to the packet. I feel unclean especially as I never walk around with barefeet in public places specifically so that I don't catch anything nasty. I'm blaming my dad for using communal showers after playing badminton.

I started trying to write my application form this afternoon. I've drafted the first three questions so I hope that I have the whole thing done by Thursday. It was so difficult to 'provide a brief description of your current job, include key responsibilities and aim to give someone who does not know some idea of its range and relative difficulty' in the tiny gap they provided as my job is so varied. I hate application forms and it's really annoying that I'm having to fill one in so soon after getting a job that I'm happy with even if it is to get a promotion which I really want.

Hollyoaks goes five nights a week next week and there's an extra episode on Wednesday night to tie up the Ellie and Toby storyline. That means that I'll be able to watch three hours of Hollyoaks next week! From now on I'll be able to waste even more of my Sunday mornings then I could before by watching the omnibus. I really should get a life!

My album collection - Part One

I thought I'd type out my album collection for no other reason then that I want to. I'm describing it as an 'album' collection, rather then a 'CD' collection, as some of the older ones are on casette tape.

I'm listing them in alphabetical order even though they're not arranged in that way in my CD racks just because it is more logical than my actual filing system which basically hinges on how much I like certain ones.

Aaliyah – Aaliyah
Year of Release - 2001
Favourite Track - More Than A Woman
Notes - I got this album because I liked 'More Than A Woman' and because 'Try Again' reminds me of the last summer I worked at Homebase as they used to play it on 'Homebase FM' all the time. I don't think I've ever listened to it all the way through and I probably should.

Aphrodite – Aftershock
Year of Release - 2002
Favourite Track - ?
Notes - I've only had this one a few days so I haven't made up my mind about a favourite track yet. It's a good CD though. Hip hop influenced drum and bass so lots of rapping and a healthy splattering of bad language.

Artful Dodger – It’s About the Straglers
Year of Release - 2000
Favourite Track - Moving too Fast
Notes - The seminal album of the 1999/2000 UK Garage craze. I love it as I've been into the more vocal, soulful side of garage music for a long time. Artful Dodger deserve a big mention for getting UK Garage into the mainstream.
