Make way for the disco diva...
Sep. 26th, 2008 10:54 pmTomorrow I'm off to Guildford for the hen do that nearly didn't happen. Fortunately, since the collapse of brilliantweekends.com left our initial plans in ruins everyone has rallied round and new plans have been formed. We're now staying at the hen's house in Hampshire. We're meeting there and putting on our 70s fancy dress costumes, then travelling to Guildford on the train. We're then going bowling, then to dinner and ending the evening in Flares. The Chief Bridesmaid has been a star and has managed to get special treatment laid on at the bowling alley and at Flares so we'll hopefully be getting lots of balloons, free drinks and fun party stuff. My costume looks pretty good. I was a bit disappointed at first as our initial plan was to go to an 80s night and I was really looking forward to wearing sparkly leg warmers. Now I'm feeling a lot more enthusiastic about things. I bought a pair of flared jeans which were reduced to clear in Bay Trading, a paisley smock top also from Bay Trading, a massive peace symbol pendant and a brown afro wig from the internet, a bag and best of all bargainous peace symbol earrings which were reduced to £1 in New Look. I tried it all on this evening and it looked really good. I hope I manage to get some good photos.
Lots of other stuff has been happening but I can't go into it now. Hopefully, I'll update again sometime soon.
