Summer in the city...
Jul. 28th, 2008 09:42 pmIt is soooooo hot. My themometer has been reading over 28 degrees for most of the day. I'm off work this week and the heat is putting me off of doing anything. Today, I flaked out in front of the TV and flicked between crap daytime telly and The Simpson's Game on PS2. I dragged myself into town to drop off my dry cleaning and grab some stuff in Tesco but that was my sole bit of effort for the day. What a waste of a day off. It is so ridiculously hot though. I had a shower this morning and by the time I'd dried myself I'd started sweating again. Yuck!
Tomorrow I'm going to do a bit of family history stuff with mum. Hopefully the temperature will have dropped a bit or we won't get much done. Hoping to have a nice lunch in a pub by the river in Richmond which should be nice.
I'm now going to have a bit of a moan. A lot of bad stuff has happened in the world over the last few days. Many people have been killed in bombings in Turkey, India and Iraq for a start. In response to this the front page of The Daily Mirror was concerned with the fact that Carol Vorderman is leaving Countdown. I know that The Mirror isn't really a 'proper' paper but honestly , is Countdown really national news?!
