I've just watched 'Hot Fuzz'. I thought it was very good. It was clearly an homage to 'police movies with lots of guns in them' which I never watch but I enjoyed it none the less. I may well watch it again with the 'trivia track' tomorrow.
I also have one new planter and seven new plants. I have a standard marguerite (big daisy) which I've planted in the pot which previously contained the spring bulbs. The spring bulbs are now in a paper bag under the sink as I'm hoping to use them again next year. I also bought a tray of six random summer plants and a new pot in which to plant them. I know that one of them is fuschia but the other five are a mystery. One is white, one is blue, one is purple, one is yellow and the other one doesn't have any flowers on it yet. Hopefully they will spread out a bit in the pot and make my balcony look colourful. I'm very proud of my balcony. I've deliberately only bought dark grey pots and I think it fits in with the building much better than the terrecotta pots chosen by some of my neighbours. I have to face the fact that I'm a balcony snob!
While mum and I were planting dad had a go at getting the bath panel off. He still can't figure out how to do it. It now looks like he's going to have to break it off. Oh well. At least I can replace it with one which is easier to remove in future.
