Not funny!
Apr. 5th, 2008 05:25 pmIs it me or is the weather having a joke at the moment?! Last night I got really hot walking home from work whilst wearing trousers, a shirt, a thin jumper and my winter coat. This morning I went out wearing cropped jeans, a vest top and a jumper and I was so cold I had to go back home and change into jeans and my winter coat. I went to Kingston, had my hair cut and then walked around the shops. By the time I left for home at 4pm it was tipping down and blowing a gale. I got absolutely soaked on the two minute walk from the bus stop to my flat. I had to put my jeans in the airing cupboard. I am not amused. My heating just came on so the temperature has obviously dropped below 20 degrees and it's apparently going to snow in some areas tomorrow. Just to really p*** me off the tree my office window has decided that it's spring and has started to blossom. As a result I have hayfever. Hayfever is annoying at the best of times but when it seems to still be winter it drives me mad. That particular tree really seems to aggravate my hayfever for some reason. I think I need to find a new job in a miserable built up area.
In other news, I'm often struck by the randomness of the song selections on the two Freeview music channels. When I arrived home this afternoon I flicked channels and encountered Jim Bowen (yep, Mr Bullseye himself) introducing a Take That sone as one of his 100 favourite party tracks on The Hits. Meanwhile, Justin Timberlake's 'Cry me a River' was being played as an 'Iconic Pop Song' on TMF. It's not a bad song but I'd hardly describe it as 'Iconic'. Hmmmm.
Right, I'm off to feel very sorry for myself and kill the hour or so before Dr Who comes on.
