Cards - All cards written out apart from very close family (ie. those I will see on Christmas Day). Most were posted at lunch time today, only seven left to post three of which are waiting for me to write letters to put in them. I'm impressed that I've managed to get them done before the last posting day for 2nd class however I'm clearly not as efficient as the four people who've sent to me already. I hadn't realised how expensive postage is these days. Twenty five second class stamps cost me £6! That's 24p each! I can remember when first class stamps were only 18p. Tut. They'd better all get there before Christmas or I will be cross.

Decorations - I haven't put my tree up yet. Last year I put it up really early but this year I haven't managed to muster the enthusisam up. Now I plan to do it on Saturday night accompanied by the Stricly Come Dancing Semi Final. That's if Christmas shopping doesn't completely zonk me out. We put the decorations up at work on Monday so that's made me feel sufficiently festive for now. They've also put the big Christmas trees up. One in Reception and one on the ground floor of our building which is let out for conferences. Unfortunately, they put the trees in the wrong locations. The tree in our building is way too big and every time I walk past it I get caught up in the flippin' icicle decorations! My parents haven't mentioned their decorations yet, but I presume I will be putting them up as I did last year. That will be stressful as mum and I can never agree on what to put where.

Presents - Don't ask! I have one item for my sister, one item for my mum and I've ordered something for my dad from Amazon. I don't know what to get for my uncle or my sister's boyfriend. Additionally, I can't make up my mind what to buy for my fellow Brownie helpers. This means that I'm going to have to brave Christmas shopping on Saturday. Not good :(

On the plus side I got myself a rather wonderful cardie in Primark today for the princely sum of £10. I was considering buying a similar one from Dorothy Perkins for £30 last week so I'm glad I waited.

On the minus side I've just recieved some news from a friend which made my heart sink into my feet. It's not about me and really has nothing to do with me or my life but still... I know that nothing I can do, or say will improve things for this person but I still feel dreadful for them.

Friday tomorrow. Yay! Shame I've got so much work to flippin' before the summer vacation.
