Please help....

I think it is about time I joined the 21st Centuary and got myself hooked up to broadband. I've been meaning to do this for some time but I'm incapable of choosing a service provider. Has anyone out there in LJ land got any advice for me? Please let me know whether the service provider you use is good, bad or so awful I shouldn't touch them with a 10ft barge pole.
