I cooked Thai red curry using Tescos' Finest Thai Red Curry Sauce on Monday night. I was a bit concerned that the chicken wasn't cooked properly so when I made it again tonight (living alone means I either eat the same thing twice in a week or waste half a jar of it) I stir fried the chicken for a bit longer. I think describing the result as 'cremated' would be exaggerating, however the word 'burnt' would probably be acceptable. Oh well. If I invite people round for dinner I'll just have to make sure I cook in the oven. At least I don't have to cook tomorrow night as I'm going round to my parents' place to eat before a trip to the theatre.
The weather is dreadful of course. Today it waited until 4.30pm to rain (just in time to soak everyone on their way home from work) and hasn't stopped since. We're having an end of term barbeque at work on Friday. It will be very depressing if it rains.
A steam train passed through the station tonight. I heard the whistle first and realised that it was coming our way (trains normally let off their horn if they aren't stopping at the station) so I rushed over to the window to have a look. I didn't see much as it was travelling very quickly but I saw the smoke. It has given me an idea...
My sister survived Glastonbury. She's put some photos up on Facebook which generally involve a lot of mud. I'm still jealous that I didn't get to go. I should probably shut up moaning about it now though.
I ran up and down the stairs in my block three times today as part of my budget effort to get fit. I hope it's working as the weather is preventing me from going out running. On Friday I'm trying yoga for the first time ever. Mum's been trying to get me to take up yoga for years but I've always argued that I'd be hopeless at. We shall see...
Oh and we've got a new Prime Minister. Some bloke called Gordon. Not democratically elected of course because we don't really do democracy in this country any more. Will anything change? Probably not.
