I feel like crying...
Apr. 22nd, 2007 08:45 pmI've been working on my Management Report all weekend (with carefully planned breaks for Dr Who, Musicool and The Search for the Next Pussycat Doll). It's due in on Friday and it's very very nearly done now. I have no idea whether it's any good or not but at least I've got something to hand in. As a result of all this extra brain activity and associated lack of sleep I'm feeling stressed and emotional.
I've just returned from my weekly Sunday dinner date with my parents. As I was leaving my mum informed me that one of the girls who was in my six at Brownies, 16 years ago, died from a brain haemorrhage earlier this week. She was born within a few days of my younger sister but had lived an unimaginably difficult life as she was very severely disabled with Downs Syndrome. She was almost blind, couldn't speak and was prone to random acts of extreme violence. I hadn't seen her for years but I can't help feeling sad. It seems so unfair that some people have to face such difficulties and for it all to end like this for her at the age of 24... I don't know how to feel but the news has done nothing to make me feel less tearful. Rest In Peace, Laura.
In other, unrelated news, Keladeekadys - are you collecting the new set of Dr Who stickers? My parents and uncle both have packs of stickers from the Radio Times which they're keen for you to have if you want them.
Ah well, back to work.
