Guess what... still no news from O2 about my out of action mobile. I predict a long time spent on hold waiting to speak to customer services tomorrow.

Monday was an unexpected eye candy fest on TV. Marcus Patric in 'Hollyoaks in the City' followed by Daniel MacPherson and Oliver Chris in that new thing on Channel 5 I've forgotten the name of. Oliver Chris' character was so irritating and had such bad hair that I almost started finding him unattractive at one point. Brooke Satchwell (Anne from Neighbours) was in it too but she doesn't appear to have much of a role. To be honest the entire show is a bit misery inducing although I'm pleased to see Kathryn Drysdale being given a chance to do some proper acting after years as dappy Louise in 'Two Pints' giving students everywhere a bad name. 'Hollyoaks in the City' was a bit on the rubbish side which was to be expected I guess. Although, I like the fact that Phil Redmond created parts in it for some of the old 'Brookie' totty. Shame about the girl who plays Lisa's ridiculous boob job though. She looked great when she was in 'Hollyoaks' but now she just looks like she's stuffed a couple of balloons up her vest top. I'm also having trouble coping with the idea of Tinhead from Brookie being a teacher and of Lisa and Ben not being a couple any more. Ben was horrible in Monday night's episode :(

I've always thought it'd be fun if soap characters occasionally turned up in different soaps. I think they tried something similar in a comedy skit for Comic Relief a while ago. I like the idea of someone from Eastenders going to uni at Hollyoaks Community College and popping back to Eastenders for the Xmas break or someone from Corrie going on holiday to Emmerdale. It'll never happen but I think it'd be fun if it did.

Went to Kingston last night and purchased some crockery and a doormat. How rock and roll am I! The crockery was a bit of a bargain at £10 for twelve pieces. I got two matching sets as I don't think I'm ever going to have more than eight people round for dinner at once. I've only got four chairs for a start.

This Life - Spoiler if you've not seen it )

My mum was laughing her socks off at 'The Catherine Tate Show' last night. Very odd. In my opinion it's not worth watching now Lee Ross isn't in it.

In random, loosely related to Press Gang news, James McAvoy has done an interview at www.indielondon.co.uk stating that he really enjoyed 'The Rachel Papers' starring Dexter Fletcher. I've never heard anyone say anything positive about that movie before that didn't involve the fact that Ione Skye appears naked in it. Still wouldn't mind seeing it though.

And in even more random, loosely related to Press Gang news, my dad was watching a repeat of 'Frost' on ITV3 last night and the guy who played Archie Pressman in 'She's got it Taped' was in it. He looked just the same but thankfully had done away with the greasy pony tail. Also in the same episode was the woman who played Penny in 'Teachers' and the woman who plays Laurel in 'Emmerdale'.

I've just remembered that [livejournal.com profile] flip18 left me a message in her LJ a couple of weeks ago pointing out where I could listen again to 'Rubbish' and I forgot to thank her. Better late than never but 'Thank You' [livejournal.com profile] flip18

Best wishes to all the people meeting up with [livejournal.com profile] violetcreme this weekend. Hope you have a fab time at the best pub in the world and I hope to catch up with you all in the new year.
