1981 On your birthdate the No. 1 single was John Lennon - "Imagine" Voted best number one ever. Can't be bad!
1982 On your 1st birthday Bucks Fizz - "Land Of Make Believe" I don't know which was more tragic - this or the cover by the Allstars!
1983 On your 2nd birthday Phil Collins - "You Can't Hurry Love" I like this! I really like Phil Collins - is that tragic?!
1984 On your 3rd birthday Paul McCartney - "Pipes Of Peace" I don't have a clue what this is
1985 On your 4th birthday Foreigner - "I Want To Know What Love Is" ditto above
1986 On your 5th birthday Pet Shop Boys - "West End Girls" Oh not bad, was listening to the East 17 cover a couple of days ago
1987 On your 6th birthday Jackie Wilson - "Reet Petite" hmmm
1988 On your 7th birthday Belinda Carlisle - "Heaven Is A Place On Earth" Not bad
1989 On your 8th birthday Kylie Minogue & Jason Donovan - "Especially For You" Tragic at the time, but a kitsch classic now
1990 On your 9th birthday New Kids On The Block - "Hangin' Tough" dreadful!
1991 On your 10th birthday Enigma - "Sadness Part 1" boring
1992 On your 11th birthday Queen - "Bohemian Rhapsody / These Are The Days Of Our Lives" bit of a sad one this as Freddie Mercury was dying at the time. Freddie Mercury and Brian May are from my home town so yay!
1993 On your 12th birthday Whitney Houston - "I Will Always Love You" give me strength!
1994 On your 13th birthday Chaka Demus & Pliers - "Twist And Shout" someone bought me this as a gift for my 13th birthday. Cheers, it's flippin' awful. I would rather have had "Alrigh" by East 17 which was out at the same time!
1995 On your 14th birthday Rednex - "Cotton Eye Joe" happy disco memories
1996 On your 15th birthday George Michael - "Jesus To A Child" Hmmm
1997 On your 16th birthday Tori Amos - "Professional Widow" This is the dance remix. Got annoying after a while
1998 On your 17th birthday All Saints - "Never Ever" yep, quite like this
1999 On your 18th birthday Fatboy Slim - "Praise You" like this too
2000 On your 19th birthday Westlife - "I Have A Dream / Seasons In The Sun" give me more strength!
2001 On your 20th birthday Jennifer Lopez - "Love Don't Cost A Thing" not bad, happy uni memories
2002 On your 21st birthday Aaliyah - "More Than A Woman" another sad one knowing that she'd died a little while before
2003 On your 22nd birthday Girls Aloud - "Sound Of The Underground" as much as I hate to admit it, I really like this song
2004 On your 23rd birthday Michelle - "All This Time" no, no, no!
2005 On your 24th birthday Elvis Presley - "Jailhouse Rock" one of Elvis' better efforts in my opinion
2006 On your 25th birthday Shayne Ward - "That's my Goal" no, no, no etc. etc.

I've just realised I forgot to tag my last entry as a meme. Must remember to go back and sort that out once I've finished here.

Anyway, in my last entry I confessed to liking tracks by both Phil Collins and Girls Aloud. I wonder what I can write in this post to further damage my credibility as a serious music lover!

As you may have noticed from my last but one post, I enjoyed myself on Wednesday night. I met up with a friend from uni and had a meal in a restaurant which describes its style as 'Australasian fusion'. I was a bit frightened after reading on their website that Honey Roasted Squid was on the menu but fortunately there were plenty of more appetising dishes too. I chose cous cous with roasted vegtables, goats cheese and tomato chutney followed by a creme brulee. Very tasty and fairly cheap too at £22 each including a bottle of wine.

My whole family missed Dr Who on Saturday as my dad forgot to turn the video on. Me and mum are going to watch it on BBC3 at 10.45pm to catch up. Everyone keeps telling me it was rubbish but the Radio Times described it as being self mocking and post modern so I'm hoping it'll be a bit like some of the later episodes of Press Gang.

I've decided I don't like the latest book I'm reading (Q&A) so I need to buy another. I nearly did a three for two on modern classics in Borders the other week but I could only find two I wanted to read. Why is the only P. G. Woodehouse book in modern classics collections ever 'The Code of the Woosters'? I've already got that one!

Been playing 'Crash Bandicoot - The Wrath of Cortex'. It's really hard!

Right, I'm off to try and make some new icons.
