Watched 'Murder in Greenwich' this afternoon. Yes, I got the date wrong when I posted about it the other day. Anyway, it was a very dull movie and Beth only had a very small role. I understood that she was playing the sister of the killer but other than that I didn't really know what purpose her character's presence served. Despite having been a fairly dedicated Tribe fan for five years it never fails to shock me how different Beth looks in real life. It just shows what a difference clever makeup and bit of blonde hair dye (or in later series blonde hair pieces) can make.

My new PC arrived this morning and is currently sitting in the hall. I've now transferred most of the files from my current hard drive on to CD so if I'm feeling brave I'll try and set it up tomorrow. I'm now panicing that the new PC won't make much difference but at least I'll be able to play The Sims 2 (that'll help with getting my uni work done!) Once the PC is up and running, the next item on my wish list is an MP3 player but there're so many to choose from these days.

On Saturday, after having my hair cut, I popped into WHSmith and whilst I was there I sneaked a look at the 'Press Gang' write up in Jim Sangster et al's massive book 'TV Heaven'. Jim was one of the authors of the Press Gang Episode Guide so I expected it to be faithful and enthusiatic and I wasn't disappointed. My only minor quibble concerns Jim's grouping of Danny MacColl with Spike and Colin as people who were forced to join the Junior Gazette. I've always thought Danny was a genuine volunteer not a KD. Although he often got involved in Colin's scams, Danny was obviously a talented photographer so I assumed he volunteered to broaden his experience. Also, Danny comments to Spike, in the very first episode, that it wouldn't be worth Spike duffing him up because he's a complete and utter wimp. I figured that, with that in mind, Danny wasn't likely to be a trouble maker. Hmmm.

Looking at 'TV Heaven' also reminded me of something I meant to write about ages ago. I was in 'Waterstones' a while ago and there was a big display of Dr Who books. I started browsing the official script book and found the scriptwriter comments provided by Steven Moffat. They were so funny. The first thing he said was something along the lines of 'you're probably reading this in WHSmith because you're too tight to buy the book' which was totally acurate in my case except he predicted the wrong shop. Oh how I laughed. It doesn't take much to set me off, I'm always the lunatic giggling on the train because I've got to a funny bit in the book I'm reading!
