I've been thinking a lot about mortality which is never good as I'm extremely frightened of death. As a child I would wake up in tears because I'd dreamt about dying.
Going back to work was stressful in general. I don't think I slept at all last night as I was so worried about not waking up on time for work. Unsuprisingly, I was really tired all flipping day. I'm continuing to worry about the whole career thing. Statistically, people are more likely to get into trouble at work in January so I'd better watch what I get up to. Now I'm custodian of the office shredder I could do some serious damage if I lose concentration!
Cardiff bloke and I are still friends. He's talking about spending the weekend together in a hotel again. I would very much like to go away with him but I worry about what would happen if we had a major falling out a long way from home. I'm suprised that he's still talking to me after my Christmas present to him cost him £1! I took it to the Post Office to weigh it and they gave me the stamp so I was really irritated to find out that Royal Mail were refusing to deliver it due to insufficient postage paid! Not really sure what I can do about it except write a complaint though. Cariff bloke has stated that he's docking the £1 from the cost of my birthday present. I hope he's joking. Also, he claims that the risque texts didn't 'freak him out' as stated in my previous LJ entry. He just didn't think (and I quote) "a geek like you had it in you". So following that comment I've been showing him what I'm really made of in the area of filthy texts.
Less than a fortnight to my birthday now and plans aren't going too badly. I'm only waiting for 3 people to let me know whether or not they're coming. I guess there will be 10 or more people attending which isn't bad going for a birthday at a stupid time of year like mine. I think we'll be going to Strada for food and possibly going on somewhere depending on how people feel.
I've started revising although I didn't do any yesterday and I haven't done very much today. So much to learn, so much to learn! It's not fun stuff either. I've now memorised how a bill travels through Parliament which I'm sure will be very useful in my long term career.
I'm stuck on the third level of Spiderman on PS2. I think I'm going to have to look at a walkthrough on the net as I'm getting frustrated. Patience isn't my strong point.
I didn't think I'd have many 'Press Gang' sitings this week after a bumper fortnight but I've been proved wrong. Rosie Marcel cropped up on 'The Bill' as I was flicking channels the other night and Bob Spiers who directed many episodes of 'Press Gang' did a bit of commentry in 'The Return of the Goodies'. Oddly I've also made a, very rare, 'Tribe' spotting last week. Vanessa Stacy appeared in an antipodean version of 'Hercules' which also starred Kristian Schmid who played Todd in Neighbours! I didn't actually see Vanessa but I saw her name on the end credits and it was filmed in New Zealand so it must've been the same person. Must remember to check it out on IMDB.
That's it for now I think.
