Describe the contents of your...

1) Fridge
I'm not sure. I can't even remember the last time I looked in our fridge. That's what happens when you're 24 years old and still live with your parents!

2) Bedside table
I don't have a bedside table. I have an almost full 60 CD crate beside my bed. It normally has the book I'm reading on the top - at them moment it's 'Going Postal' by Terry Pratchett. Next to that is a smaller full CD Crate which holds old PS One games. There are four old cassette tapes on top which remind me of my teenage years: Steam by East 17, Walthamstow by East 17, Now Dance 902 (includes the not very trendy 'Where are you baby' by Betty Boo and the more trendy 'LFO' by LFO) and a tape taken from borrowed CDs which has the 'Dirty Dancing' soundtrack on one side and 'Crazy Catz' by PJ and Duncan on the other. On the floor in front of these are my PS2, my electric toothbrush charger, my phone charger and my hairdryer.

3) Bathroom cabinet
Goodness knows, I don't look in there often! I can guess that the contents include some surgical spirit and dental floss which have been there since I was born!

4) Dashboard
N/A

5) Car
N/A

6) Desk
No less than four trays which are all full of work (an 'in' tray, an 'in progress' tray, the new starters trays and an 'filing' tray), my PC, keyboard, mouse, mousemat from Capita Education Services, pen holder, couple of mugs from a temp agency we use, a bit of pink tinsel which never got put away after last Xmas, business cards from agencies, some post it notes reminding me of things, mega huge hole punch (great for taking out frustrations on!), a 15 month calendar, a calculator and a stapler.

7) Pen holder
Two black biros, a blue biro, a black OHP slide pen, a one hole punch, a green biro, some elastic bands, loads of paper clips, a flash black agency freebie roller ball, three purple fountain pens (more agency freebies) and goodness only knows what else, but I can't fit anything else in it. My highlighter pens (green, yellow, orange and pink) which I took in from home and my black marker pen are in mugs next to the pen holder!

8) Pocket
Nothing.

9) Bag
Purse, mobile phone, umbrella, mint lypsil, work and house keys on a variety of jangly keyrings which make me look oh so professional at work, my security pass for work, nail clippers, probably some tampons and panty liners and a few biros.

10) Stomach
Mushroom stroganoff from lunchtime (it looks like pebbles in mud but tastes fantastic), lots of 'Roses' chocolates given to the office as a gift by the temp who left today, pasta with tomato and mozarella from dinner time, diet coke and water.
I've now been doing my PG Dip for three weeks. So far it hasn't been thrilling. I've been trying to do my 10 hours per week extra reading but it's soooo boring. Last week one of our lecturers was off sick so had to sit and discuss motivation in small groups. No one else had done any of the reading so it was a pointless exercise really. The rest of my group all thought money was the only motivating factor for working so I kept quiet. I don't deny that I'm motivated by money to some extent but it's not the main reason that I do my job. I learnt from my experiences in Plymouth that I would rather be doing I job that I enjoy than one I hate which pays well. I'm not saying that most people are motivated by something other than money, just that at this time in my life the theory doesn't work for me. After a while we gave up and started chatting. All the other groups were still working hard.

I've been invited to 'Fabric' for someone's birthday but it's the week that my first assignment is due in :( I really hope I'm able to go as it's ages since I've been proper clubbing. The last 'club' I went to was 'Inferno' in Clapham which was awful. I'll have to get organised with my workload.

My mum found the CD I lost when she was clearing out my sister's old bedroom. Now I can listen to the Ganja Crew and the Jungle Brothers again. It's so annoying how my mum can find things in places I'm sure I've thoroughly searched!

We're now two episodes into The Tribe spin off 'A New Hope'. It's predictably awful. The actors are aged 6-13 compared to 9-17 for the original cast of The Tribe so it's obviously aimed at a younger audience. I'm not quite sure what's going on either. I understand that it's set some time after the original series but I don't get why everyone is now under 14. Surely the original virus isn't still killing off adults? I looked at the website and Sky is meant to be a descendent of Bray (and presumably Amber) so I guess more will be revealed as the series progresses. There's no way that 'A New Tommorow' has the same appeal as The Tribe. I think the idea of living in a shopping mall was excellent and the 'will they, won't they' love story of the first series got most serious fans hooked early on. Although, some of the acting in The Tribe was obviously dire there were also some fantastic performances particularly from the series one cast. I just can't see it with this new version. Anyway, I'm not even vaguely in the target age range so they probably don't care what I think!

I'm still wasting many hours of my spare time watching my Press Gang DVDs. This week it's mainly been series' four and five which are my least favourite. I've just watched 'There are Crocodiles' again and (I've said it before and I'll say it again) what an ending! And I only realised recently that Spike get's the last word.

If anyone is thinking of watching Press Gang I would recommend the following episodes:

1.1 - Page One - The best opening to a series ever. Six of the nine main characters and one semi-regular are introduced in two minutes before the main titles "its 8.30, time for school".

1.5 - A Night In - Maybe the best episode ever. A great character based episode in which Stephen Moffat demonstrates his ability to mix comedy and drama to perfection. Any woman will have fallen in love with Spike by the end.

1.7 & 1.8 - How to make a Killing Parts 1 & 2 - Lee Ross (Kenny) is fantastic acting opposite Sadie Frost in these episodes.

1.11 - Monday-Tuesday - Press Gang's first attempt at unorthadox narrative technique and it pays off.

1.12 - Shouldn't I be Taller - Spike in full on hero mode. Aaaaah!

2.1 - Breakfast at Czars - Excellent direction, a fab performance from Paul Reynolds (Colin) and loads of sexual tension from Spike and Lynda.

2.4 - The Week and Pizza - An average week in the life of the Junior Gazette staff.

2.5 - Love and the Junior Gazette - Brilliant! Another of my favourites. Lee Ross puts in another great performance.

2.6 - At Last a Dragon - They finally get together!! Also the only episode which doesn't include a single scene in the newsroom.

2.7 & 2.8 - Something Terrible Parts 1 & 2 - The famous child abuse episodes which I vaguely remember from when they were shown on channel four. Part 1 cleverly reverses the norm with Spike and Lynda providing the comedy and Colin providing the dram. Part 2 includes a great straight performance from Paul Reynolds and won both a BAFTA and a Royal Televison Award in 1991.

2.10 - The Rest of my Life - A very clever episode with Lynda showing her human side and learning a valuable lesson. Spike's character alters significantly after this.

2.11 - Yesterday's News - If you're not crying by the end of this one you've got a heart of stone. I watched it at 2am in the morning and I was in floods.

2.12 - Rock Solid - Another Kenny episode and I love Kenny! Notable for Spike not being in it very much (Dexter Fletcher was very poorly with Chicken Pox and had to be written out).

2.13 - The Big Goodbye - It was meant to be the last 'Press Gang' ever. The ending is fantastic.

3.1 - The Big Hello - Another of my favourite episodes. Julia and Dexter are on top form.

3.4 & 5 - The Last Word Parts 1 & 2 - Fantastic plotting and brilliant character development.

3.6 - Holding On - A totally daft plot but Lynda is at her most shocking in this one.

4.1 - Bad News - Press Gang parodies itself and the media environment it exists in. I don't like this episode much but I think it's clever. Also vital to watch for continuity reasons.

4.2 - UnXpected - Frazz takes centre stage and Mmoloki Chrystie wins us over. Another clever parody episode this time concentrating on Doctor Who and The Avengers type programmes.

4.4 - Love and War - I was in tears by the end of this one too. Must have been strange for Julia and Dexter to act this episode as a real life couple.

4.6 - Day Dreams - Not a very good episode but the last 10 minutes are vital.

5.2 - Friendly Fire - The end of an era and it fills in some of the gaps from earlier series.

5.3 - A Quarter to Midnight - Julia Sawalha (by now an international comedy star thanks to Ab Fab) proves once again that she's a brilliant straight actress.

5.6 - There are Crocodiles - Speechless!
