More work at last...
May. 6th, 2003 10:30 pmA bit of positive news at last. I've got a day's work on Thursday with a charity which is based at Elephant and Castle. It's putting conference packs together, which doesn't sound like much fun, but at least it's something different to bung on the old CV.
I also went on a pretty unsuccessful trip to Hounslow. My aims were: to go to Debenhams and buy Emma and Andy something off of their wedding list, to buy an acceptance card and to get a new control pad for the playstation. I only managed the latter as I couldn't find a card I liked and the wedding list apparently hasn't been written yet. At least I can have an all out assault on completing Spyro though!
On the way back from Hounslow I popped into the library and ended up getting 'Porno' by Irvine Welsh, 'Pratt of the Argus' by David Nobbs, 'Reaper Man' by Terry Pratchett and 'Dead Famous' by Ben Elton. I was really embarrassed checking out 'Porno' as it has a picture of a blow up doll on the front! I also got three books on dyslexia for mum as she wants to do some research for work.
When I logged on tonight I had two good emails between all the junk from Milkround.com. One from Antony and a group one from Cat. Antony seems to be leaving all his work to the last minute as usual. I just hope he manages to pull it off this time. Jobs in IT are scarce at the moment and companies wont want someone with a third. Cat is doing market research in Melbourne but is on the move again soon. The email didn't reveal much which I guess is good news.
Sad news as well. My Neopet has died. The security settings on this computer meant that I couldn't feed it! I'm quite sad about it as the silly games on the site kept me amused for ages, I'll have to find another way to waste my time. Maybe I'll try and find some second hand playstation games on ebay.
It was a beautiful summers day today. Long may it continue.
