May. 3rd, 2003 10:36 pmYet another uneventful day in my life.
This morning I got up, after having another dream about Cardiff bloke, and watched 'The Tribe,' 'Popular,' and 'Harry and Cosh' as I have done every Saturday for weeks.
I'm quite enjoying series five of 'The Tribe' although I don't think I'll ever forgive Cloud 9 for what they've seen fit to do with the Mall. Ever since series 1 bits have been disappering but now it appears to only have one level and hardly looks like a Mall at all. I can accept the fact that some years have passed since the virus but surely a load of kids wouldn't have been able to make structural alterations to a large building. My only other complaint for todays episode is that way too much time was wasted on the Amber, Trudy, Jay love triangle. There are three decent storylines going on so why couldn't they have concentrated on them or even have a comedy interlude like in days of old?
After that lot had finished I went out, handed back my library books, which involved paying an extortionate £2.49 fine, which I'm sure was wrong and rented a DVD to amuse myself this evening while my parents were out.
I was having an indecisive day and ended up getting 'Austin Powers in Goldmember,' mainly because I needed to get something that mum didn't want to see, thus ruling out the latest 'Harry Potter' and 'Bend it Like Beckham.' Having watched 'Goldmember' I've concluded that the critics were right about the Austin Powers thing running out of steam. I actually found it quite boring in parts but all the added extras were good value and it kept me amused for a good couple of hours.
I'm now on to the second book of 'The Fellowship of the Ring' and I'm still enjoying it. Unfortunately it seems that I'll have to wait ages to get hold of the next one as there is a long waiting list for it at the library. They're so cheap now that I could probably afford to buy the lot but I really don't have space for any more books while I'm living here. I guess getting rid of some of my college and uni text books would be a good idea but they're all in such good condition it seems a shame.
Thats it for todays installment but I'm sure tomorrow's will be even duller!
