Things I've been doing lately...

• Went to the Hampton Court Jazz and Beer Festival with my sister, her husband and their friends.  Drank lots of cider and watched their friends dance on stage with the Preservation Hall Jazz Kings.
• Attended my first ever baby shower.  My friend made the most amazing nappy cake which would've cost a fortune if we'd ordered it from somewhere.
• Finally finished reading The Pickwick Papers.  I've been reading it for six months.  Hurray!
• Watched Joe Verses Life on Channel 4 which is very silly and makes me laugh out loud and Him and Her on BBC3 which I didn't like all that much.
• Celebrated my brother in law's 30th birthday in Soho.  It involved sumo costumes, electric water pistols, glowsticks, silly hats and lots of booze.
• Went to the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford with the lovely keladeekadys 
• Became an honoury auntie to my friend's teeny, baby boy.
• Did some text annotation for a research project at work.  It's suprisingly tricky and very time consuming.
• Started teaching myself HTML in preparation for an XML course I'm taking after I get back from holiday.  I'm suprised that coding makes a lot of sense to me.  So far.
