The one in which i-just-hide goes to Paris and mainly sees the inside of tunnels...

Until Tuesday I hadn't been to Paris, in fact I hadn't left the UK for nine years.  Needless, to say I was rather looking forward to the trip even though it was for work.  We were staying in to a hotel in the Latin Quarter a couple of blocks away from Notre Dame and the Seine in one direction and a block away from the Pantheon in the other so I was reasonably confident I'd be able to see quite a bit in a spare hour or two.  I was wrong.

I totally approve of Eurostar though and will be trying to find a friend (preferably one who speaks passable French!) to accompany me back to Paris as soon as possible.  Maybe I might even get a glimpse of the Eiffel Tower next time!
