This is the first time in ages that I've been at home for two consecutive nights. I really should tackle the ironing pile which is threatening to take colonise the living room but it's still too warm in here for that.
Anyway, I realised that I forgot to review the play 'Quartet' which I saw at Richmond Theatre last week. ( Cut for spoilers in case anyone is thinking of going to see it )
Tuesday evening was spent at a rather nice pub in Strand on the Green celebrating a colleague's birthday. Strand on the Green is directly opposite my esteemed place of employment on the opposite side of the river but I'd not been there before. Our office administrator had reserved space on the patio outside beside the river which was lovely on a hot evening and I got to chat to a few people I don't normally spend much time with. A really nice, civilised way to spend an evening and just to top things off they serve Sol which isn't easy to find in these parts. Corona is OK but I like Sol better.
I've now found out that I'm going to have to go back to Sheffield for the day on Tuesday 10th August for some more training. This is a bit unfortunate because I'm due to travel to York on Friday of that week to stay with my friend for the weekend. As a result I'm going up to Yorkshire and back in a day (or possibly two days depending on timings) and then travelling back up to Yorkshire again three days later. I'm not used to that much excitment in one week.
