I'm sulking...
May. 1st, 2008 10:15 pmMy friend isn't going to the Gatecrasher Summer Sound System after all. I really wanted to go. So many good acts are playing - Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Pendulem, Daft Punk etc. I can't invite anyone else as it was her friend who had the tickets. Bother.
Any my ulcer still hurts. And it's raining.
At least I'm meeting a friend for drinks after work tomorrow. Should be a good start to the Bank Holiday weekend.
I've fulfilled my civic duty and voted in the London Mayor/Assembly elections. It was the first time I'd voted since I moved here in October 2006 so the first task was finding the polling station. In my experience polling stations tend to be located on main roads with big signs outside saying 'polling station' with helpful directional arrows. My polling station was located in the resources room of a tower block. The tower block was easy to locate. The resources room was not. It was around the back and there wasn't a sign in sight. Fortunately, a local lady took pity on me a showed me the way. Now it's just a case of keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that Boris doesn't win.
