Running around in circles...

I've been playing the most recent Spyro game on my PS2. I'm at the stage where I'm running aimlessly around in circles because I can't figure out where to go next. I finally gave up and looked at a walkthrough on gamefaqs at lunch time. I have little patience and even less willpower.

I haven't floated away and I narrowly missed getting caught in the 'freak storm' last night. Unfortunately, I was at brownies in a hut with a metal room at the time. We had to do shouting songs because they were the only way the brownies could hear our instructions.

I'm not even going to comment on the Dr Who casting news. Instead I'm going to sign [livejournal.com profile] r_scribbles petition to bring back Ace. I am also muttering and grumbling under my breath because I may now have to watch Torchwood to find out what happens to Martha.

On Monday I went to Streatham to celebrate my friends' first birthday as a married woman. We went to a bar called 'Mint' which is near Streatham Hill overground station. It's well worth a look if anyone's in the area. There were amazing cocktails containing lots of real fruit (although I didn't try any as they cost a staggering £6.90 each) and massive dinners. The birthday girl and her husband ordered the gourmet cheese burgers and they were gigantic. The so called 'fat chips' were actually quarter potatoes and the cheese was a big circular goats cheese. I had a slightly smaller chicken burger which was nice but contained too much guacamole for my personal taste. I'd go back though. The comfy sofas were fab. It was good to catch up with everyone too. I'm gradually easing myself back into a post exam social life.

I've just recieved a letter advising me of the date that my flat will be inspected for snagging. I will be visited at some time between 8am - 4pm on 9th August. Why can't they give me a proper appointment time? Now I'm going to have to use one of my valuable days of annual leave on it. My mum won't be around to stand in for me either as she's on holiday. *sulks*
