Snails pace...
Aug. 17th, 2006 08:17 pmThat's the speed at which the building society are moving with my mortgage. My solicitor and the sellar are waiting for it so it looks like things will be pushed back even further. Oh well, the longer it takes, the more money I'll have saved for furniture I suppose.
My friend and I were talking about housewarming last night. She suggested that I hold a 'bring your own cushion party'. Could be fun...
My parents are off on holiday to Harrogate for a fortnight on Sunday so I'll have to fend for myself. I find it so exhausting just watering the plants and opening and shutting all the curtains every day. I also have to remember to get up early and put the bins/recycling out on Thursday morning. Grrrrr...
So Tesco are going to give 'green' clubcard points to people who use recycled bags. It's about time someone put a stop to the excess plastic bag useage going on in this country. I got a voucher for a free bag for life with my clubcard statement so I'll have to remember to cash it in.
An employment agency sent me a national lottery scratchcard today. I don't believe in gambling but as it was free I scratched and hoped. Sadly I didn't win anything which was a great shame as the top prize was £1000 which probably would've furnished the flat completely.
I'm on the last level of 'Hit and Run' now. I reckon I'll have cracked it by the end of the week and I haven't looked at a single walkthrough. Then I've just got to go back and find the rest of the pesky collectors cards and wasp cameras. How I love kids video games.
Really should do some uni work. Maybe tomorrow night...
